Congrats to Ayme and Jess!

We were excited to get the happy news about the engagement of Ayme (my first godchild) and Jess. Quel beau couple!
***The ring is not too shabby either...

photo editing for dummies

Taking pics of a solid black dog ain't easy. But I finally managed to adjust a few so that Bruiser doesn't look like a black blob.

AP Reading (continued)

I sat across from Joe, who can doodle intricate pen and ink drawings while simultaneously grading cassettes with staggering accuracy.....

Table 8--by far the most efficient group of graders--(hence, the spare time).

Took this pic for Toby......a bus company named after him.

A fire alarm forced my friends Dan, Robin, and Monty to bring their less-than-gourmet dinners outside.

Downtown area in Louisville called "4th st. live." Kinda cute. Popular with conventioners.

French AP Reading

Louisville, KY.

Louisville has a nice little downtown setup. Our hotel was great and we were right on the Ohio river. Here are some pics from the riverfront. It was beginning to rain, which cut short my walk.

We began the week with the announcement that we were 21 readers short for the French exam, so we would have to work overtime to get them all graded. But, by Wednesday, we realized that something was strange--we were running out of cassettes to listen to....."le camion va arriver," they kept saying.....Somewhere in the country was a truckful of French cassettes, not being graded. So, we sat around for nearly a day and a half with nothing to do.

Leçon 1

Learning to blog. I thought this might be easier to let my family know about what I'm up to this summer. We'll see if I can master it.
